There’s nothing you can do! – Wrong! I always have a choice!

There’s nothing you can do! – Wrong! I always have a choice!
If I do nothing, I act too. But in the wrong direction!
So I might as well become active and do the right thing!

Some time ago, in an interview with Andreas Kott, I said in response to the question of whether the individual can change anything:

„I can influence the course of the world,
at least in my area of life,
by changing my behaviour;
because I have access to my behaviour, of course.“

The following quote is reported from the Dalai Lama:

„If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping when there is a mosquito in the room.“

The most challenging task in coaching is often to guide clients to the realisation that they can choose to remain a victim or become an actor in their lives!

That is also true in the case of a disaster that befalls us and with whose consequences we are confronted as victims. Whether we remain victims or whether we help to shape the consequences of the events is and remains our free choice!
